Cardiac Check-up

Why should we have regular check-ups?

The primary cause of death in the world and in our country is cardiovascular and circulatory system diseases. In approximately 50% of unexpected (sudden) deaths, sudden death is the first sign of an underlying and previously unknown heart disease. Unfortunately, patients do not always have symptoms. Sometimes, complaints may not be interpreted as signs of heart disease. For this reason, early diagnosis of this insidiously progressing disease is possible through regular check-ups.

It is recommended to have cardiac check-up in particular, for people who have had familial history of cardiac deaths at an early age (under the age of 50) or sudden losses with unexplained reasons, regardless of their age;

Every five years for people younger than 40 years of age who have no known heart disease or risk factors;

Once a year for people over the age of 40 who have risk factors for cardiovascular disease, have a first-degree relative with heart disease in their family, smoke, have high blood pressure and cholesterol, or have diabetes.
